A german girl who had entered the USA with visa waver and stayed for more than a year. She was riding a greyhound bus on interstate 10 and the bus was stopped at an immigration checkpoint east of el paso. She was detained by US immigration for a month and a half and then sent back to her home country on a plane.
“they asked for my id i showed them my german licence. they made 1 phonecall and allready had my name and when i came to the us. they didnt ask any questions. they locked me up in a cell as big as a bathtub smelling like shit for 24 hours, no water
then they gave me a paper to sign saying i agreed for them to throw away my stuff. by then i was in no position to argue anymore. then a bus came to pick me up, in handcuffs i rode with them for 5 hours to the jail.
they took my clothes i had on, watched me shower gave me a prison uniform and locked me up again for 3 hours. then they locked me up in a room with 60 bunkbeds, 60 criminals and illegals with 4 toillets without doors , 2 showers without doors and told me to make my bed.
they woke us up at 5.30 screaming at us to make our beds then lay down again. then breakfast, bed again, waiting till lunch, nothing was worth eating, deb then waiting for dinner.
everyone was hispanic, nobody spoke english. even the guards didnt talk english to me . it was hell… ”
